DAY 1.

Arrival in Minsk. Meeting at the airport.

Transfer to the hotel. Check-in.

Lunch.

Sightseeing tour of Minsk, including architectural and cultural monuments of the 17th -18th cent, historic part of the city - the Trinity Suburb. City tour of Jewish Minsk incl. the memorial complex "Yama", Minsk Synagogue, Rakovsky Suburb (Minsk ghetto), the menorial complex "Trostenets"

Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 2.

Breakfast. Check-out

Departure for Grodno.

On the way to Grodno, a tour of Mir and Novogrudok.

Sightseeing tour of Mir (130 km from Minsk) incl a world-known yeshiva established in 1815 and numbered about five hundred students from around the world, four synagogues, the Old Jewish cemetery, an impressive memorial complex erected to commemorate the Jewish families murdered in WWII. Visit to the medieval Dukes Radziwill Castle of Mir built in 1495. The castle of Mir offers a unique example of architecture of that period, Belarusian Gothic. Today it has features of Gothic, Renaissance, defensive and palace architecture.

Novogrudok was the centre of the Great Duchy of Lithuania. Nowadays you could find there the ruins of the ancient castle and a lot of churches and monasteries. This is the town of the famous poet Adam Mitskevich (his mother came from the family of christened Jews).You could visit the museum of Local Lore which is a nice places to visit and to know more of the Jewish community. Visit to the area of the Jewish ghetto and the places of the mass murder.

DAY 3.

Breakfast.

Sightseeing tour of Grodno, once a residence of Great Duke of Lithuania Vitaut. Here in 1389 he issued a "Permit of Residence" that regarded with favour the arrival of Jews into Lithuania. Here the first Jewish community was founded at the end of the 14th century. Walking tour in the old part of Grodno, including the medieval castle, the brilliant example of Baroque architecture the Roman-Catholic cathedral, the streets of the Jewish quarter before the war, buildings of the various Jewish public institutions, the Great Synagogue of Grodno, the territory of the Jewish Ghetto, the old Jewish cemetery.

Lunch.

Meeting with the Jewish community.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Departure for Lithuania.
